Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers said Tuesday he will order the state legislature into special session to consider a plan sending $150 to every state resident and providing about $130 million in tax relief through child care and caregiver tax credits.
State Republicans have said they plan to take up tax relief measures in 2023, after November elections. But during his State of the State address, Evers (D), who is in a close race for reelection this year, urged immediate action.
