Washington DOR publishes up to date info on corporate tax breaks throughout COVID-19

June 22, 2021, 5:00 a.m.

The Washington Department of Revenue (DOR) released updated information on June 21st on property, excise, estate, and sales and use tax breaks available to businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. The update made it clear that the DOR will waive interest from February 29, 2020 until the end of the COVID-19 state of emergency or until Proclamation 20-20 is repealed, if the interest on outstanding balances is incurred again. Tax returns that are submitted and paid in full by the extended due date are considered timely and do not bear any interest. [Wash.
