State Senator Patricia Bates advocates gasoline tax relief for Californians

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – As gas prices continue to rise, California Senator Patricia Bates is working to provide much-needed aid.

She recently co-signed a letter to Governor Newsom and other lawmakers asking them to create a “Gas Tax Holiday” that would give Californians some respite as gas prices continue to rise.

Senator Patricia Bates (R-Laguna Niguel), representing the 36th Senate District of CA, joined Logan Byrnes of KUSI to discuss the letter and her proposal.

She wants to start the “vacation” on July 1st and it would last for a year, or a “celebration year” as she jovially put it.
