Jaipur: The state government has decided to exempt public transport vehicles from the tax for two months during the fortnightly public discipline alert period. Prime Minister Ashok Gehlot approved the proposal on Tuesday. The state government has decided to suspend the taxation of vehicles of contract transport and the state transport class for May and June, as public transport was not allowed during this period.
From April 14th to June 8th, 2021, there was a total and partial operating ban on passenger buses due to fortnightly public disciplinary measures and other public restrictions. During this time, a total of 32,671 vehicles in the contract and state transport category that were operated as public passenger vehicles in the country were not allowed to be operated.
