Loudoun County Revenue Commissioner Robert S. Wertz Jr. said March 45, participants in Loudoun’s tax break program for the elderly and disabled should receive renewal forms soon.
Applications and certifications for the 2021 tax year have recently been sent to applicants already in the program as well as residents who have applied for the program.
Registration deadline for participants who are already participating in the program is April 1st. First-time applicants for a private car tax exemption have until September 1, and first-time applicants for a real estate tax exemption have until January 3, 2022 to submit their applications.
Applicants are encouraged to submit their forms in the pre-addressed envelope that was included with the renewal forms.
Applications for first-time applicants and details of the program are available online at oudoun.gov/taxrelief. Residents can call 703-737-8557 to request a form.
