Poland proposes a minimal tax for companies to curb tax avoidance

Poland plans to impose a minimum tax on large companies as part of the revision of a billion dollar stimulus package, which was first presented in May, the finance ministry said on Wednesday.

Large companies with incomes less than 1% of revenues would be taxed at a rate of 0.4% of their revenues and 10% of all expenses that were found to be “excessive,” the ministry said when it presented the revisions via an online Press conference.

According to the ministry’s press department, the tax could also be levied on loss-makers.
