To give taxpayers some respite amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has extended its fiscal breaks for the current fiscal year to August 31.
PCMC’s property tax department has asked citizens to pay tax before the extended last date in order to take advantage of the relief scheme. There are 5,51,071 properties under the twin cities’ civil corporation. This includes residential as well as commercial and industrial properties. Property tax can be paid either in the first half of the financial year from April to September or in the second half between October and March.
The general tax exemption has already been announced for property owners who have prepaid their full bills by June 30th. Due to the pandemic, the license agreement was extended until July 31.
