Tax Relief

Jazz is unlikely to commerce a rotary participant for tax breaks

While the Utah Jazz is about $ 17.2 million above luxury tax, they’re not expected to get their paycheck in the form of a rotation player. Utah has already relocated Derrick Favors in a store aimed at reducing their tax burden.

With extensions going into effect for both Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell averaging between $ 32 and $ 41, plus some off-season additions, Jazz has escalated their tax bill. This has sparked speculation that Utah could replace one of its middle-class salary players like Bojan Bogdanovic, Joe Ingles or Royce O’Neale. However, sources suggest that jazz won’t move players for the time being.
