AmeriCorps RSVP seniors seek help
The RSVP AmeriCorps Seniors (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) is seeking volunteers ages 55+, in person and online.
You can set your own hours and benefits include “free” supplemental insurance, ongoing recognition and an annual volunteer appreciation event.
Volunteer opportunities include:
Virtual Reading Buddy: Must have a computer, internet access and good computer skills. Online reading AZ software and training are provided.
Personal reading buddies for students in kindergarten through third grade.
Food Pantry Assistants: Assist in packing boxes of groceries and distributing them to customers Monday and/or Friday from 9am to 3pm.
Food Pantry Clerks: Must have strong computer skills and enter customer details. Volunteers are needed for 3½ hours on Mondays and/or Fridays.
Driver for transporting clients to doctor’s appointments (for a partner agency).
Volunteer recruiters from the following locations: Bethania, Clemmons, Kernersville, Lewisville, Rural Hall, Tobaccoville, Walkertown, and Winston-Salem.
