Concordia Provides Free Tax Preparation – InForum

MOORHEAD – Concordia College is offering free tax prep starting Monday, February 7th through March 10th.

The college offers free tax prep as part of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Grant Center, Room 118. No appointment is required.

Nobody is allowed to enter the building before 5:30 p.m. and participants must wear a mask inside the building.

VITA is an IRS-sponsored program that allows certified student volunteers to prepare and electronically file tax returns free of charge for taxpayers earning less than $58,000 per year and older taxpayers.

Concordia College asks that attendees bring all W-2 and other tax forms, photo ID, and a Social Security card. Bank account and routing numbers are required for direct deposit refunds. Both spouses must be present at the marriage.
