Communicate Out Reader’s Remark: Illinois Residents Search Tax Breaks

Language Requirements Ridiculous: This comes from a former college professor who saw students fail the basic requirements to get through college without remedial course work. It increased the cost of college. These people could not achieve success due to additional studies and additional costs. What happened is that the state legislature, the brilliant people we have in Springfield, stated that every high school graduate must have two years of foreign language. You did this to meet the admission requirement for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Well, not every child goes to Urbana-Champagne. Some children will go to business school. Do you need a foreign language? No. The best time for a student to learn a foreign language is when they are young. It means that it should be first, second, and third grade to really get a child into a language and entertain themselves. You are targeting the wrong group.
