BDO welcomes corporate tax companions

Catherine Dean will join BDO in Sydney starting November 15, where she will be focused on delivering M&A transaction, advisory and tax compliance services for clients particularly in the energy and resources, industrial, corporate and charity sectors.

Ms. Dean’s appointment comes as BDO seeks to maximize its customer offering as Australia’s borders reopen.

“Catherine is a great addition to our growing team and is in high demand by customers for her technical excellence combined with her pragmatic approach.” BDO’s national tax officer, Neil Billyard, said.

“Catherine is respected in the industry and is a sought-after speaker and editor of a number of industry-leading articles and reports.

“Coming at a time when the demand for our services has never been higher, Catherine adds significant skills to the team. I personally look forward to working with Catherine for many years to come. “

The appointment of Ms. Dean follows that of Paul Doyle, who was appointed to the BDO’s Sydney-based financial services practice in September.

In July, the medium-sized company welcomed 10 partners to its leadership. The change was followed by another 15 members of the partnership in February, as a result of which the number of partners in BDO’s financial year rose to 25 – the largest in the company’s history.
