Aimed toward tax breaks for family sellers

PESHAWAR: The Trade Alliance Federation has submitted its own proposals for the federal budget for the new fiscal year to the Ministry of Finance.

Recommendations made by Ghulam Bilal Javed, head of Traders Alliance, suggested that Peshawar traders should be given up to 70 percent off all provincial and federal taxes due to the coronavirus pandemic.

He said the tax break should be up to 50 percent, and the federal revenue office should also give 50 percent discounts on sales tax and personal income tax.

The head of the Trade Alliance Federation said that all provincial taxes should be 80 percent exempt, while small traders should be exempt from taxes.
