Tax Preparation

AARP Tax-Aide gives free help in making ready tax returns | Native information

For the second year running, AARP provides tax-aide services to taxpayers in Parker and Palo Pinto counties.

There are no AARP membership or age requirements, and IRS-certified volunteers work on strict COVID guidelines to minimize face-to-face contact.

Taxpayers are only seen after making an appointment for an initial interview and for scanning documents. Preparation is done remotely, then clients should plan to return for a follow-up visit to complete the tax return.

Tax envelopes can be collected from the Weatherford Public Library or the Boyce Ditto Public Library. The tax envelope contains full instructions and required forms and must be completed prior to your appointment.

Customers will be on view at the Boyce Ditto Public Library in Mineral Wells on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Please call the library at 940-328-7880 to make an appointment.

Customers are seen at the Weatherford Public Library on Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays. Please call 817-631-3176 to make an appointment and a Tax-Aide representative will call you. Don’t call the Weatherford Library.
